Meet Clare Softley
The Positive Psychology Coach.
Guided by a BSc in Psychology and ongoing studies in Psychology and Counselling, training in Life Coaching and mentoring and Mental Wellness I bring a professional, grounded, and deeply empathetic approach to every client I support. My work is shaped by real‑world experience, genuine compassion, and a commitment to helping people thrive — and that’s what sets me apart.
After 18 years working within the Police, I reached a point of burnout that made me reassess my path. Although I stepped away from the organisation, my desire to help others never left. I witnessed firsthand how high‑pressure environments can impact mental health, resilience, and overall wellbeing. That insight inspired me to retrain as a Positive Life Coach, where I can make a meaningful difference to those who need guidance, clarity, and support.
My mission is simple: to support you authentically, every step of the way, toward greater wellbeing and personal success.
Alongside my policing background, I have experience working in both Primary and Secondary School settings, and my final‑year thesis focused on Educational Psychology. I’m skilled at building trust with children and adapting my approach to help them understand and navigate challenges. As a mother of two, I bring relatability, patience, and a nurturing perspective — qualities that help young people grow in confidence, resilience, and self‑belief.
